Timeless, Sustainable Swimwear
Founded by Jessica Lemarié-Pires, Kymina is a high-end swimwear label offering timeless, beautiful and sustainable pieces that will never go out of style. Inspired by her daughter Naia and her environmental values, Jessica wanted to build an affordable swimwear brand that offered pieces which could be treasured by both mother and daughter, across generations and trends, and have been worn by the likes of Eva Longoria, Caroline Receveur, Karine Ferri and Millie Mackintosh. The pieces are designed to be flattering for all body types with durability, sustainability and comfort front and centre, taking inspiration from iconic women throughout the past 100 years.
Luxury Lingerie Design, Build and Production with BodywearLab
Kymina came to us looking for support during the Covid-19 pandemic as we are a sustainable manufacturer with access to local resources, sustainable fabric choices and offering small production runs at our London warehouse. Jessica’s values mirrored our own, and working collaboratively with sustainability at the forefront, Kymina sold out of most of its stock within three months. We were then able to provide them with a replenishment order and create two new colour collections and a new print to be used across branding and product which launched in 2021. Due to our eco-conscious work ethos and our flexibility, we were able to offer Kymina a space to test their product at a small scale, sustainably, and locally here in London, which were all key concerns for the business owner. Additionally, Jessica was new to the world of sustainable production so we were able to guide her through the process with our industry expertise, ensuring partners have ethical credentials with high-quality manufacturing for a luxe final product.
Branding, Marketing and PR with HYSCULPT
The owner wanted to create a standout print that would help foster brand recognition as well as capture the vibrancy and values of the business owner. Our team began by experimenting with the brand name itself, rotating letters and playing with the lines within the logo. Both our team and Jessica felt that the letter ‘K’ was strong and we used the dashed line work within the logo to create a clean, simple yet eye-catching pattern that reflected the active nature of the brand. To break up the lines, we incorporated the brand name but in a softer and more personalised cursive type font into the print to really showcase the branding. Kymina currently uses this print on their popular ‘Farrah’ one-piece swimsuit.
Business Mentorship with London Contour Experts
Kymina also came to the consultancy team over at London Contour Experts for support with their business strategy. We were able to provide targeted support and guidance through one-to-one strategy sessions, analysing all aspects of the business and identifying key areas of concern or aspects that we felt needed more attention. We also offered our support in conceptualising a fully realised pre and post-launch strategy. This was vital as we were able to help build the brand’s business plan together before launching and offered guidance every step of the way to help ensure the outlined goals could be achieved. During the pre-launch stage, the founder requested our support with the sales part of her business. We were able to create an effective pricing and sales strategy that could be referred back to as the brand evolved.
