Analina is a luxury swimwear brand which aims to empower women to find strength in their individuality. The brand is inspired by the founder’s free-spirited and glamorous mother, Lina, who worked as a civil engineer in 1980s Dubai. She would never be ashamed to be herself and fiercely feminine, often sporting fabulous red heels and long black nails to work. The brand champions the Analina woman; she is unafraid to be her true, authentic self, she makes her own choices with conviction and is admirable for her strong will. Analina offers a considered collection of modern, sensual and fresh designs, manufactured responsibly with the planet in mind. Using eco-conscious fabrics in zingy colours and bold, innovative hardware with woven detailing, every garment is something that you will want to treasure forever.
Luxury Lingerie Design, Build and Production with Bodywear Lab
Inspired by those hot summer evenings, the founder came to us with a clear aesthetic for her products but needed the team at Bodywear Lab’s support in creating that all-important perfect fit. We wanted to create timeless cuts that could be at a range of occasions, from the beach to the yacht, and that would also flatter a variety of body shapes. We created a daring cut-out one-piece to give the illusion of a bikini, with flattering high-hipped bottoms to enhance the natural contours of the female form. All swim pieces feature bespoke hardware detailing synonymous with the Analina brand; circular detailing placed dynamically connecting the top and bottom parts of the cut-out one piece, on the hips on the bottoms and the straps of the bikini tops. The metal loop is woven in with the fabric seamlessly, adding that pop of glamour that is in line with the branding. We used the label’s chic, sophisticated aesthetic with a modern twist to put together a striking branding pack that offers timeless style, whilst also reflecting the brand’s youthful energy and empowering narrative.
Our sourcing specialist was then able to find the most luxurious and eco-friendly fabric for the swim pieces, Oeko-Tex-certified Italian ECONYL®. Nylon waste and pollutants such as discarded fishing nets are transformed into ECONYL® which is a regenerated nylon that can be recycled, recreated and remoulded again and again. ECONYL® is also twice as resistant to chlorine and suntan creams and oils than competitors’ fabrics.
Branding, Marketing and PR with HYSCULPT
The Analina brand had a strong foundation of inspiration, but it was up to the HYSCULPT team to build upon this and create a cohesive brand identity. We wanted to combine the daring, modern, sophisticated and fun nature of the brand to create a logo, signifier and colour palette which encompasses the whole brand personality. We started with a colour palette that was clean and crisp yet feminine, with white to signify purity and heat, gold and sand to enhance this motif as well as add glamour and exoticism which we then contrasted with cooler lilacs that add youth and mystery. We felt that these tones reflected the Analina woman, as well as nodded to the founder’s Middle Eastern roots. We also developed the logo and signifier, settling on big and bold typography capitals to represent strength, with a mix of thin and thick lines to illustrate a woman’s diversity. The signifier is taken right from the logo becoming an ‘A’ with an elongated bottom line and missing line through the middle. We wanted the signifier to be synonymous with the brand and taking it from the logo helps build brand awareness.
We also supported Analina with its packaging design. Knots and weaving are a big stylistic indicator of the brand, implemented with the weaving of the hardware detailing on the product. The founder wanted to use weaving and knotted imagery to allude to the unspoken bond between strong women from around the globe and that we are all connected. Using this notion as inspiration, as well as the brand’s sustainability values, we created a simple and clean packaging design using natural materials such as hessian, a woven natural fabric that can be made from a jute plant, flax seeds or hemp. We also designed pouches made from a similar, woven material, as well as mailer boxes using a simple and minimalistic design. The natural colours of the fabrics match the sand and white tones of the established brand colour palette which helps to enhance the brand identity.
Business Mentorship with London Contour Experts
We also supported Analina with the business side of their brand, gaining valuable knowledge and industry insider tips with our consultancy team. We scheduled regular one-to-one sessions where we discussed the structure of the business and pinpointed areas that we wanted to evolve and strategized how to improve areas of concern, outlining clear and achievable measures to ensure this. We also offered our support in conceptualising a fully realised pre and post-launch strategy. This was vital as we were able to help build the brand’s business plan together before launching and offered guidance every step of the way to help ensure the outlined goals could be achieved.
