We are thrilled to announce that London Contour Experts became the newest member of the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT), the largest fashion and textile network in Britain.
We are hoping that access to a powerful network and industry knowledge will be paramount to the success of our existing and future clients.
If you have not heard of UKFT before, it is worth knowing them as the most inclusive British network for fashion and textile companies, bringing together designers, manufacturers, agents, and retailers to promote their businesses and our industry throughout the UK and internationally. They are a voice for both Government and industry.
They also own the biggest repository of knowledge – ‘Let’s Make it Here’ [www.letsmakeithere.org] – which is a free database of UK manufacturers covering all stages of the supply chain; from yarns, cloth, and trimmings to clothing manufacturing, plus all relevant ancillary finishing and processing services.
We are excited to continue learning from the UKFT team about the best practices for logistics distribution. The last 12 months of very challenging unprecedented trading conditions both within the UK and overseas within our supply chains affected many existing and soon-to-be brands. UKFT has a network of a wider community of businesses facing the same challenges as us, allowing us to work in partnership across the fashion and textile community on making sure that we can support our clients in building a strong and sustainable supply chain.
The UKFT team is an encyclopedia of knowledge and we are excited to tap into their expertise, especially ahead of the new relaunch of our Mentorship Programme. We are looking forward to sharing their extensive expertise with you in a form of reports, blogs, and newsletters.
